Having studied screenwriting at the ifs internationale filmschule köln, Dominik Hochwald works as a writer and script consultant for films, series, games and children’s books. His clients include Pantaleon Films and Coppenrath Verlag. He develops story worlds for Germany’s biggest theme park Europa-Park.
In writers‘ rooms, he works on film and serial formats, having collaborated with companies like Warner Bros., Sony and eitelsonnenschein, among others. He is one of the writers of the upcoming ZDF series „HUSK“, slated to air in late 2026. He is also writing the screenplay for „Blutige Bescherung“, a 2026 episode of the ZDF series Friesland.
By 2025, his children’s book series „Dinosaurier in Omas Garten“ („Dinosaurs in Grandma’s Garden“) sold over 270,000 copies. The first book became a bestseller with sales exceeding 100,000. “Dinosaurier feiern Weihnachten“ debuted at No. 9 on Germany’s picture-book bestseller list in November 2025. He regularly holds interactive readings.
Dominik works as a game writer, creating concepts and stories for games like „Ferocious“ that was published by tinyBuild in December 2025 and „Human Within“ that was released for the Meta Quest in January 2025.
As a consultant, he contributes to the development of films, series and novels, and advises companies on brand and IP development. On the ZDF series „Club der Dinosaurier“ he worked as a script consultant. Additionally, he conducts seminars on „Basics of Storytelling,“ „Story Worlds,“ and „Pixar’s Storytelling.“

Regelmäßig veranstaltet er interaktive Lesungen.
